SpeechDrafter

Our Pricing, Explained: $4.99, $9.99, and $14.99

· 2 min read

One of the first questions every new user asks is "do I need to subscribe to anything?" The answer is no. SpeechDrafter is a one-time purchase, paid at checkout, for the specific speech you need. If you're never giving another speech again, you'll never hear from us — no trial, no renewal, no "try Pro free for 14 days."

The three tiers

Basic — $4.99

Three drafts, one tone, medium length. This is the right pick when you know exactly what you want and you just need a few variations to choose between. Most people who come in for a short birthday toast or a simple welcome don't need more.

Standard — $9.99

Six drafts, up to two tones split evenly across the drafts (three drafts per tone when you pick two), plus your choice of length — short, medium, or long. This is what most people pick because most speeches benefit from contrast: seeing a lighthearted version next to a sentimental version tells you which direction you actually want.

Premium — $14.99

Ten drafts across up to four tones — the widest comparison we offer — plus two free revision rounds. After you read the drafts, you can tell us in plain English what to change — "too formal, make it feel more like a text I'd send," or "add a line about our camping trip in 2018" — and we regenerate every draft with that feedback. This is the tier for people giving eulogies, father-of-the-bride toasts, and other high-stakes speeches where the first version probably won't be the final one.

Why the prices are where they are

A good freelance speechwriter on Upwork will charge $200–$500 for one custom wedding speech. ChatGPT Plus is $20 a month forever. Our pricing splits the middle: enough to cover the actual LLM costs behind each generation and to fund support, but cheap enough that giving us a try is an obvious yes if you're otherwise going to stare at a blank doc for another hour.
